My dermatomyositis has been extremely difficult to control with 3 years of prednisone and other immunemodulators along with the very rare development of aseptic meningitis to my IVIG. I then developed polymyalgia rheumatica. There is little in the literature about this situation. Dr. Fiala helped us to perceive that "something " was driving my disease and the new autoimmune disease which made us comfortable to proceed with surgery. It has been 6 weeks since the surgery and I already feel better. She is a great physician. | |
