I know he is very busy, but I have one critical comment that applies to Dr. Condado and to many other providers, equally skillful in their role: their view Is the computer for almost all of the visit, while entering their notes, absorbing the lab data, etc., concentrating. They are being very efficient, and therefore able to see more patients in a given day's schedule. For almost the entire visit, I see the back of their heads, or the side of their faces (depending on the placement of the computer), while talking over details of my care. Then some will come over to me and drop the stethoscope onto a couple of spots, to provide a little of touch-feely, before departing. (Some caregivers will give more thorough exams.) See more patients, do more procedures, and collect more dollars.I've seen the other side, when their were no computers, but a snowfall of papers, and I prefer this side with computers.We could almost do it all with Video conference anymore. But still, I am confident I am receiving the very best of care at Baylor Scott & White, while the caregiver becomes more of a data-entry clerk. | |
