Congratulations on your pregnancy! You have a lot to look forward to, and probably more than a few questions and concerns about what to expect over the coming months. Consider the Understanding Pregnancy eClass your go-to guide for answers you can trust. This interactive online class covers essential information on your baby's development, helpful tips for a healthy pregnancy, and includes partner tips throughout. You'll see how your baby develops with 3D animation and have access to helpful trackers and checklists that help you stay organized and healthy.

This class alternative is for couples who prefer learning in the comfort of their own home and at their own pace or for couples who are on bedrest or who have scheduling conflicts.
This interactive program includes videos and illustrations that provides couples with the skills that are essential to an informed childbirth experience.

This class focuses on preparation for childbirth, emphasizing the experience of labor and birth and the important role of the support person. A variety of comfort measures are taught and practiced in class, including relaxation and breathing techniques. Special Procedures and epidurals are discussed, as well as an overview of cesarean birth, postpartum, and the newborn. Registration fee includes partner.

Our family-centered childbirth class is taught by experienced childbirth educators who help prepare the expectant mother and her support partner for the many possibilities of labor and delivery. This course includes how to support a mother and her new baby during the first few weeks at home. Please bring 2 pillows and a blanket for relaxation techniques. Registration fee includes a partner.

Sometimes a planned cesarean is a necessary surgical birth option for a healthy mom and a healthy baby. Becoming informed and prepared will help you gain understanding and help you make good choices. Learn about what to expect during your hospital stay and how to have a good recovery process when you return home.

Labor love: Your guide to natural childbirth
This interactive course compliments the information you have already covered in a childbirth class. You will discover the philosophy behind natural childbirth and learn ways to increase comfort through positioning, massage, breathing, and much more. This class is an in-depth course that builds confidence through hands on practice and tips for partners, incorporating support techniques. It is geared towards those interested in a unmedicated labor. This class would also be suitable for a someone planning a VBAC or as a childbirth refresher.

Multiples class (online)
Expecting twins or more? Take an interactive online class made just for you! This class covers everything you need to know about your unique pregnancy, including what to expect from a vaginal or cesarean birth, breastfeeding more than one baby, and life at home with multiples. Woven throughout the eClass are fun activities to help you learn and engaging video clips that share the real stories of families with multiples.

Natural childbirth techniques class (online)
Planning a birth with few to no medical interventions? Learn how at your own time and pace! This interactive online course builds on what you have already learned in a standard childbirth preparation class. You will learn more about natural childbirth, comfort techniques, and how to write a natural birth plan. By watching several birth stories, you will also get a sense of what natural birth is like.

Our interactive maternity tour provides the expectant couple an opportunity to become familiar with all the services we provide on the Labor & Delivery and The New Family Center units. The tour is included in our childbirth classes. Please be sure to register all who will attend the tour, including children and grandparents.

This interactive online course covers essential information for the first two weeks after birth, including taking care of yourself, caring for your newborn, and feeding your baby. It also highlights important warning signs so you know when to call for help.

This interactive class is designed to help new parents, grandparents or nannies develop realistic expectations while learning the basics of infant care.
Topics will include soothing techniques, guidelines for safe sleep, diapering, car seat safety, feeding, and bathing. Invaluable parenting tips and resources will help build your parenting skills.

Fatherhood class
Preparing for fatherhood is no easy task. Men want to support their partners and new babies, but often feel lost and unsure about how to do that. This useful, informative, and entertaining class was created for men to help them find their way on this unique journey. With a positive focus on the importance of being involved right from the start, you'll learn how to support your partner through pregnancy and birth, as well as survival tips for those first few sleep-deprived months with a newborn.

Sibling class
Growing your family? Help your child become a super sibling!
This online sibling preparation class teaches you how to support your child as they grow into their role of big brother or sister.
You will learn how to answer tough questions, ways to help your child feel involved, how to reduce jealousy, and more.
Plus, to encourage your sibling-to-be, there are fun lessons to do together, complete with kid-friendly video clips, coloring pages, and activities (recommended for ages 3-7).

Car seat safety demonstration
Learning how to use the new car seat is often the last step in preparing for the arrival of a new baby. In the chaos and excitement before the baby is born, this isn't always done well or at all. Car seats often come with lengthy instructions that parents may not read or fully understand, causing many car seats to be used incorrectly. The Car Seat Safety Demonstration provides expectant and new parents with an opportunity to focus on the proper use of a car seat.

Car seat education and more (virtual)
Motor vehicle crashes are a leading killer of children and their families around the world. This presentation is intended to expand your understanding of basic vehicle passenger safety, selecting and use of car seats appropriate for a child's size, and vehicular heatstroke awareness. This class is offered in partnership with Cooks Children and Safe Kids of North Texas. This is a virtual class using Zoom Meeting.
Breastfeeding classes and support groups
In our breastfeeding classes, we will discuss what to expect when parenting a breastfed infant, how to prepare to breastfeed, pitfalls and "booby traps" to avoid, and where to go for support and help along the way.
Breastfeeding class (in-person)
This class for expectant parents focuses on the joys and common concerns of breastfeeding. Information includes the benefits for mothers and babies, initiating feedings, maintaining a milk supply and other practical considerations.
Discussion includes basic breastfeeding knowledge and its importance, latch and positioning, breast care, breast milk storage and breastfeeding lifestyle.
Only register expectant mothers. Registration fee includes a partner, who should NOT be enrolled.

Pumping class
The knowledge a mother gains from this class will help her with confidence and without compromising her breastfeeding desires.
A board certified lactation consultant will lead this class and the course is available either in-person or virtual.
Breastfeeding support group (virtual)
A new breastfeeding mom faces a variety of challenges when she leaves the hospital.
This support group is a virtual place where moms can come to share their experiences and to find solutions from other new moms in a safe, nonjudgmental and fun environment.
A board certified lactation consultant will facilitate the discussion.
Breastfeeding support group (in-person)
Mothers with babies are welcome to join this support group for sharing their experiences and gaining wisdom from other mothers who are breastfeeding their babies.
This is a community breastfeeding support group hosted at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Grapevine and open to all breastfeeding mothers.

Rockin’ Mommas Facebook page is monitored by a certified lactation consultant and provides online breastfeeding support.
Safe Sitter
Safe Sitter is a course for young teens in grades 6-8 who are ready to learn the skills they need to care for themselves and younger children.
This course teaches young teens life and business skills, so they know how to be prepared, be responsible and be considerate whether they are babysitting or doing odd jobs for family, friends or neighbors.
