Available to all benefits-eligible employees, their spouse or dependents, but you must be enrolled to receive benefits.
How it works

The Critical Illness plan pay you a lump-sum cash benefits for a wide range of covered critical illness diagnoses—including a heart attack, stroke, end-stage renal failure and more. A new covered diagnosis must occur on or after your plan's effective date.
Use the money to help pay medical bills or everyday living expenses like your mortgage or car payment. The choice is yours. You can also sign-up for direct deposit to get your benefits faster./p>

Wellness benefits

Bonus: The plan pays a $50* annual wellness benefits when a covered health screening is performed (annual checkup, colonoscopy, mammogram, etc).

*Per plan per covered individual each year.

Pay period rates are deducted from your paycheck after taxes.

To register you account, choose the “Social Security number” option—but instead input your nine-digit employee ID number (can be found on your pay stub) or use your Aetna number found in your welcome letter.

Submit a claim

Filing a claim is easy! Log on to the app or member portal and click on “Report New Claim”, answer a few quick questions, and upload or take a picture of your medical bill. You can also print and mail a paper claim form to Aetna Voluntary Plans.
